Welcome. We’d love to have you join us.

Every Sunday we gather as a church family to grow in our love for Jesus, for each other and for our city. We do this hearing from God’s word, the Bible to grow as disciples of Jesus.

But, you don’t need to be a Christian to come along. We’d love to have you with us if you’re exploring things, not sure about God or Jesus, or maybe, even, returning to God after a long time away. Everyone is welcome.

Finding the Entrance

• Look out for our banners and A Boards on Lillian Avenue. There is also a banner and Aboard near the hall entrance.

• Enter through the gate to the School Hall. You’ll be warmly welcomed.

What to expect

• Wear whatever clothes makes you comfortable. Most people dress casually. Sit where ever makes you comfortable.

• Inside you’ll see a welcome table. On it are free Gospels, and other free resources to explore Christianity. Take one!

• Church starts with a welcome from the Pastor or the Service leader and the theme of the morning is introduced. See more below.

• Expect there to be families with kids, aussies, internationals & uni students. There is a picnic blanket up with chairs nearby for families with young children.

• Bathrooms are just past the kitchen. There are bathrooms available for those using a wheelchair. And a bathroom with a change table for young children.

• If you have children and they might attend Kids’ Church there is a sign in sheet on the Welcome Table.

What happens Most Sundays

• Most Sundays Church follows a simple pattern. Join in with these to whatever extent you’re comfortable. It’s fine to just listen in.

  • Welcome, Introduction of Key themes

  • Songs and Creed or Communion

  • Kids Talk (then kids leave for Kids Church)

  • Bible Readings

  • Sermon

  • Question and Answer time, usually.

  • Public prayers in response to sermon, for our church community, for our city, the campus and the world.

  • Announcements sharing activities and ministries of Risen Church.

  • Songs

  • Closing encouragement or blessing.

  • Morning tea together

• We don’t collect an offering at church. Those who are growing with us give online.

• We have welcome dinners or lunches every couple of months for those who are new so keep an ear out for these.

Look out for our Risen Church A boards and banners near the Lillian Ave entrance. Park in the school or on Lillian Avenue.
