Children's Bibles

We’ve got four boys. The oldest two are now in high school and are reading ordinary everyday wonderful Bibles. Here are some of the kid’s Bibles we are using, have used or will use to read the Bible with our four boys.

Great for the littles 2-4 years old with beautiful pictures. It covers the whole Bible story in a big sweeping story of the search for the forever king Jesus. Right from the start your children can learn that the Bible is not lots of little stories and events but the Bible reveals the great plan of God to bring everyone under the forever king Jesus.

Our boys from about the age of 5 to 11 have loved this Bible. When I read it at night to them they always ask for just one more chapter. But the action just keeps coming and so we just keep reading. And then, usually, one of our boys will ask for a light and read on themselves!
This Bible covers the whole Bible in comic form. And true to name it is full of action! The pictures are strong and dramatic. The people are real with real emotions and real responses to the drama of God’s saving work in the world.

I’ve written a something longer here but in short this Bible tells the key stories of the Old Testament and the New Testament so that children can discover and understand Jesus. Sadly lots of children’s Bible turn the amazing truths of love and rescue by God into moral stories of how to be good. But not this Bible.

Jesus is the key to eternal life revealed on every page with beautiful pictures.

I reckon it’s good for ages 6 to 12 depending on the concentration level of your kid(s) and their tiredness on a particular night.

The only downside to all of these Bible is that they are on the more expensive side of things. But, I think these are all well and truly worth the money. What could be more valuable than kid’s discovering and loving Jesus?
