Risen Church - Weekend Away

The camp will be a fantastic time of getting to know each other and the true and living God. Our topic will be:
Living for God’s Truth in a Post Truth World
We’re looking forward to a fantastic weekend away with Lionel Windsor. He’ll engaging our hearts and minds on this huge topic. How is that we can live for God and the truth we know from him in a post truth world.
Lionel teaches at Moore Theological College in Sydney and has recently published Truth Be Told. He’s married to Bronwyn & has three children, one married and two in high school. He has also has published Gospel Speech & Is God Green?
Weekends Away are unique opportunities in our busy lives to spend time together and spend time meeting with God through his word. It will be a great time together to care for each other, get to know each other more and come under God’s living word together.

Important Start and Finish Times
*Friday night arrival: 6:30pm onwards
Friday night supper: 7:30 – 9pm
Saturday morning breakfast: 7:30 – 8:30am
Sunday finish: 1:30pm
*There is no dinner on Friday night at the camp. There are no takeaway places near our venue so make sure you get it on the main highway.
Location:
Tamborine Lodge
1 Keswick Rd, North Tamborine QLD
It’s a 1 hour and 30 minute drive from the CBD of Brisbane down the M3 / M1 (Pacific Motorway)
Note: It can be a bit confusing. There is the town Tamborine but also Tamborine Mountain. The Conference Centre turn is off BEACON ROAD in North Tamborine, which is close to Tamborine Mountain.
Costs
Adults / High Schoolers = $170
Primary School children = $100
Children Under 5 = $15
Coming up just for Saturday = $100 per adult / high schooler, $40 per primary school student, $10 per child (U5 yrs).
Deposit required by Monday 1st May = $90 per person

Essentials to bring
Bedding
o Bring your own bedding: pillows, sheets, blankets or sleeping bag. You must bring a bottom sheet.
o Beds are bunk beds
o It can get cold so bring blankets or a sleeping bag
Clothes for two days
Some warm clothing. It can get quite cold at night.
Soap, shampoo, towel, toothbrush, hairbrush, etc.
Torch and batteries and an umbrella
Bible
An expectation of meeting God in his word
You might also like to bring:
· Enclosed shoes (e.g. sneakers or hiking shoes) for bushwalks and games
· Hat, sunscreen, insect repellent
· Board games and sports equipment
· A camera – it’s really beautiful!
· Water bottle
· Backpack for hiking
· Marshmallows for a campfire
Food
The cost covers all food for the weekend including supper / dessert on Friday night. Please note there is no dinner on Friday night at the camp. Get your favourite takeaway on the way to the camp.
If you have any allergies, please note them on the sign-up form. We’ll do our best to cater for them and tell you if we can’t.
